It was this invisible calling that led the heart and soul of Organic & Co away from the concrete, traffic, and dust of European city life. We ventured into the embrace of the Himalayas to find an ancient truth. But nature does not yield her treasures easily.

Our founder, Driss, arrived in Nepal just as the heavy monsoon rains set in. The destination was remote: Malikabota, Kanakasundari Ward No. 5, in the mountainous Jumla region. Climbing the steep, muddy, and unforgiving trails of Taulchauli in the heavy downpours, it felt like time itself stood still. The narrow walking paths, carved with the footsteps of ancient traders, seemed to ask us: “Are you here to turn back, or are you here to truly see?”

Jumla has a harsh, quiet, and naked beauty. It doesn’t call out to you with noise; it speaks in silence. The mountain winds bite cold, yet they carry an almost maternal warmth that kept guiding Driss upward, past 3,000 meters, into a world of pure stone and sky. Up there, you see the true resilience of life: local farmers working the rocky hillsides, mud houses breathing smoke into the cold air, and livestock grazing on narrow ledges.

It was in this timeless space that the first seed of Organic & Co was planted. Not by finding easy answers, but by asking the right question: How can we bring this untouched purity to the world without changing a single thing?
