OrganicDriss’s Himalayan Journey: Birth of Organic & Co

In those moments, only a soft yet firm heartbeat rising from deep within can guide a person back—to their first breath, to themselves, and to nature.

The souls behind Organic & Co. followed one such invisible calling. Leaving behind the dust, cement, and traffic of the city, they set out in search of a truth hidden in the lap of the Himalayas—a journey that was anything but easy.

As summer merged into the monsoon, we remember the moment our first step turned toward Jumla—specifically to Kanakasundari Rural Municipality, Ward No. 5, Malikabota. Time seemed to pause. The steep climb of Taulchauli, muddy monsoon trails, lingering scents, and ancient trade routes etched with human history welcomed us as if asking:
Have you come to return… or have you come to meet something?

Karnali’s raw, harsh, and solitary beauty held a strange attraction. It does not call out loudly—it calls in silence. The wind sometimes struck with severity; sometimes it felt like a mother’s touch. That very touch kept guiding us toward a rocky world above 3,000 meters. Only after reaching such heights does one truly feel it.

In the hands of the farmers here is written the complete story of life—stone grinders, terraced fields carved into cliffs, narrow footpaths, smoke-breathing mud houses, and oxen and goats grazing across endless hillocks. Time felt frozen; we felt like listeners walking through an eternal story.

In that feeling, the first seed of Organic & Co was planted—not while searching for answers, but when questions arose. Because truth often hides within questions.

Jumla is not just geography. Jumla is a living manuscript—written on mountain walls, read through the flow of rivers, scented with herbs, and interpreted by human hunger and thirst.
One of its deepest pages is Shilajit.

Shilajit is not merely a substance.
It is the sweat of the mountains.
It is the soul of Karnali.
It is a silent agreement between humans and nature.

In the marketplace, myths, misinformation, false claims, and greed have often trapped Shilajit in layers of doubt. But Organic & Co chose to break through those walls—to walk toward the truth, all the way to the source, the community, and the mountain peaks themselves.

The wisdom taught by the wrinkled hands of Malikabota’s elders, the sweat-soaked stones touched by farmers, the silence of forests, the deep breaths of Himalayan gorges, arms battling rock, and unbreakable inner strength—all came together to complete the Shilajit harvest.

We did not return carrying only Shilajit.
We returned with respect, prayer, and devotion.

When that substance returned to the city, the laboratory confirmed it. Yet no certification could ever validate the truth and integrity we witnessed there. In that moment, purity spoke for itself. We felt immense joy. Our eyes filled with memories—Jumla, the rocks, the blessings of elders, the trails, the hardships. What remains now is peace, fulfillment, and quiet happiness.

But the journey did not end there.

Karnali’s cold winds taught us something profound: a person does not always need to climb mountains—sometimes, mountains rise within a person.

Organic & Co was born in that moment—not as a business plan, but when one piece of the soul met another.

Under Jumla’s sky, on rugged trails, amid Karnali’s empty yet deep echoes, they remembered:
Healing does not always come from medicine alone. Sometimes, healing comes from reconciliation with the soul.

In the end, the rocky lap of Jumla whispered just one sentence into our ears:

“Where nature’s power flows within a human, journeys are born. There, truth is found. There, it is not a brand—it becomes a soul.”

Organic & Co is a story born from that very soul.
Sometimes harsh. Sometimes sacred. Sometimes silent.
But always—truth.
